No Favours captures ROME at his most composed and self-assured—smooth R&B, restrained rap delivery and an effortless sense of control.

Beneath its confidence lies a firm personal code: he has stopped waiting for permission, rescue or approval. Every step has been earned, and he refuses to owe anyone a version of himself created for their benefit.

It is not a song driven by bitterness, but by boundaries, independence and self-respect. Within Simple Things, “No Favours” reveals the steel beneath ROME’s easygoing presence.
